My definition of a good life is being confident. Why?
The Definition
We live in an age where we are overloaded with data, people’s emotions & news. The amount of data we see in just a thumb scroll is something our brain can’t bear. I’m sure every Tom, Dick & Harry will agree on this.
We often find reasons to be happy. We watch movies, hang around with friends, put our minds to our jobs, go to a concert & do so much more.
But our definitions are indeed different. If an ice cream on the beach makes me happy, you might like to enjoy your cone of flavored ice in a park after a long walk maybe?
So what’s my definition of a good happy life? Being Confident. Let me explain why?
The Why
I was recently asked over social media of course, ‘the definition of a good life’. Some people said ‘material comfort, well-being & mental peace’ is their definition of a good life. Some said ‘Faith, Love, Empath & Success’.
A person with a beautiful name said ‘access to options, but options without value judgments or a linear outlook to progress. I tried to understand what she was speaking about, but it wasn’t that clear. As I said, everyone’s definition of a good life is different.
My definition of a good life, a happy life is being confident. When you’re confident, don’t you feel like everything is working in your favor? Don’t you get the urge that you can do anything?
When I’m confident, I know that I am on the right path, even though 1000 things go wrong, I am still on my path. It’s not easy being confident, trust me I know as much as you do, but when you are confident in whatever you’re doing, you achieve a different level of comfort & happiness.
How To Be Confident & Happy?
Two big keywords, confident & happy in the same line. Yes, you read it right. When you’re confident, you trust yourself. If 100 things go wrong, you trust your guts that you will be perfect. Doesn’t that make you happy? Isn’t that something you’ve been chasing all your life?
So being confident is not an option, it’s a luxury. When you feel like nothing is going wrong, it’s easy to lose confidence. But knowing that you are on the right path, and not giving up, that’s what makes the difference.
My secret to being confident is to know that I am there for myself. That I won’t be alone. I’ve had heartbreaks, so many anxiety attacks, and countless panic attacks, but I am still on my way to getting where I want to go.
If you’re having a bad time now, remember why you started in the first place. It helps to build your confidence.
I hope this article helped you to understand what keeps me going!
I hope you know your definition of a good life, if you haven’t found one, you are still never too late!
